An award has been made to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln under the direction of Dr. Robert M. Hunt to acquire new cabinets and storage equipment for the fossil mammal collection of the Nebraska State Museum, and to make the data from the collection accessible in an online database searchable by scientists and educators worldwide. The Nebraska State Museum contains a large collection of fossil mammals living in North America over the last 40 million years. These collections reflect the change in the North American ecosystem during that span of time.
