Dr. John H. Callahan, the Program Chair of the Division of Analytical Chemistry, 2005 ACS Fall National Meeting in Washington DC, is supported by the Analytical and Surface Chemistry program to organize a symposium entitled " The Analytical Applications of Terahertz Spectroscopy." The symposium will consist of a full day of presentations from 11 invited speakers in two sessions. The presentations will cover various aspects of spectroscopy in the terahertz range. The symposium will familiarize the analytical community with the potential of this emerging area of research, which holds a significant promise for application in analytical chemistry.
