Prop #: 0634738PI. WhiteThis award will fund information technology support for the University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS) and the NSF Ship Inspection Program. This award will support a centralized location for the UNOLS web server and for updates, maintenance and security for the system. Additionally, funding will support activities to further develop a web-based database system for the NSF Ship Inspection Program. The Ship Condition Form (SCF) has already been incorporated into an online document system. The SCF will be enhanced to incorporate Inspector and Operator comments which are integral to the ship inspection process. The Project Director, Douglas White is qualified to direct this project having had past experience in providing web server and database support for the UNOLS website and the development of the Ship Condition Form database. This project will allow the institution to acquire a Dell PowerEdge 2800 Server in support of these efforts. ***
