The research project was started on 1st May 2011, it is therefore in its third year. With regard to the original application, its scope is now defined more precisely. The central question is that of the relationship between science and politics in the Third Reich which is exemplified with regard to the "Römisch-Germanische Kommission" (RGK).The original application was submitted together with Prof. Dr. Friedrich Lüth, First Director of the RGK; his successor, Prof. Dr. Esher Banffy, supports this application in the same way.
