项目摘要
The Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform (BioDIP) is a multi-institutional network of 9 core light and electron microscopy, as well as image processing facilities, on the Biopolis Dresden campus. It offers a comprehensive range of imaging technologies along with the profound expertise of BioDIP staff to more than 550 users per year. The BioDIP facilities are operated by five research institutions that belong to three different research organizations. The hosting institutions are the Biotechnology Center (BIOTEC), the DFG Center and Excellence Cluster for Regenerative Therapies (CRTD) and the Medical Theoretical Center (MTZ) at TU Dresden, and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) and the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) Dresden within the Helmholtz Association. BioDIP was highly recommended to become a node within the Euro-BioImaging network, an initiative within the ESFRI roadmap of the European Union. The central goal of BioDIP is to become a durable central service and device unit for imaging technologies at TU Dresden. Moreover, BioDIP will prepare its role as EUBI node by proof of concept studies, will extend its teaching concept and will support the establishment of new imaging technologies accessible to all scientists.
