Aristotle´s De partibus animalium and Byzantine commentation

The project deals with the comparative study of texts relating to Aristotle's PA: the Byzantine editorial sections of the Commentary of Michael of Ephesus, the Byzantine redactions of Aristotle's PA and the corresponding scholia.The project has both the edition of these texts as well as the investigation of their relationships to each other, the clarification of their origin and tradition as its goal. In addition, the mutual influences with Aristotle's primary text and the original commentary of Michael of Ephesus will be explored.
