The duties of a pneumatological ecclesiology and a reformulation of the theological foundations of canon law have not been edited in context. The results: The Pneumatology is meaningless in the practice of church action. The Canon Law standardized this practice, without a contemporary theological and ecclesiological foundation. In the research project should be first put both tasks simultaneously addressed. This means that the necessary relation of the canon law to a pneumatological understanding of the church has to be shown, and on the other hand, that the enduring relationship of the Church in the Spirit has to be expressed in their understanding of the law and its legal form.
