Reasons for the evolution of so many hygrophilous species in a prevailing dry continent.Sarothrocrepis: Question of the original habits: under bark of eucalypts in open forest, woodland, and savannah, or on bark or in moss on the trunks of rainforest trees.Phorticosomus: Question of the group membership of the genus. Question of the origin: in tropical, seasonal wet savannahs, or in semiarid/arid steppe or semidesert.
