The project is dedicated to the first century of the establishment of Spanish colonial order in America and analyses the significance of texts which could be labelled as ¿pragmatical literature¿ in the field of law and moral theology. It is quite probable that these texts were highly functional for the organisation of society, due to their reduced complexity, and might have substituted other resources.
