GRK 674: Institutions, Methods and Aims of Formation and Development of International Legal Rules Concerning Private and Commercial Law

This research training group has set itself as a task to explore the process and aims of internationalization, unification and europeanization of private, procedural and commercial law. Topics are for example the implementation of international conventions into national law, the influence of the European law upon substantive and procedural law of the European Community Member States or the interaction between the international uniform law and the national legal system. It is of great importance to the research training group to focus on an interdisciplinary approach, that combines to the different subject areas; the focus is set on the connection of private, commercial and procedural law on the one hand and the European Community law and public international law on the other hand. The priority is set on the reflection and further development of legal institutions, methods and aims of such international and supranational legal rules. Those young jurists, that are interested in scientific research, get the possibility to work on the process of internationalization, unification and europeanization of law.
