本研究では、全国の看護系大学におけるキャリア教育の実態、看護学生のキャリア成熟度を調査し、看護学生が免許取得後もキャリアについての考えを成熟させ、看護職として活躍し続ける力を育成するキャリア教育プログラムを開発することを目的としている。2022年度は、2021年度に作成した調査票を用いて全国の看護系大学のうち、2021 年度までに卒業生を輩出しているすべての大学 279 校（2022 年 3 月現在）を対象に調査を実施した。調査期間は2022年12月～2023年1月で、79校（回収率28.3％）から回答を得た。回収率が低い要因として看護学教育の中でキャリア教育への認識が低いことが推察され、回答結果を全国の実態として考察することには限界があると考える。回答のあった大学の属性は、国立大学16校（20.3％）、公立大学20校（25.3％）、私立大学43校（54.4％）であり、全国の国公私立の比率と比較すると国・公立大学の比率が高く、私立大学が14ポイントほど低かった。現行カリキュラム、令和4年度改正カリキュラムで継続してキャリア教育を正課教育として実施している大学は40校（50.6％）、改正カリキュラムで創設した大学は4校（5.1％）、改正カリキュラムで閉講した大学は3校（3.8％）、これまで実施していない大学は32校（40.5％）であった。正課・正課外を問わずキャリア教育を実施している72校を集計したところ、1年次に「キャリア、キャリアデザイン」、「職業理解」に関する授業、3年次に「医療機関や自治体等の合同説明会」、「就職活動の心構えや注意点に関する講義」、「面接対策」を実施している割合が半数を超えていた。しかし、「自己理解」に関する教育が必要との認識が最も高かったが、その実施率は46％程度であり、担当者が必要だと認識している内容と実態には乖離があると推察された。
