项目摘要

本年度は，（1）先進的な公共図書館を対象としたイベントの分析，（2）市民を対象とした公共図書館に対する認識の研究を行った。（1）の研究は昨年度から引き続いて行っている研究であり，公共図書館で開催されたイベントはどのようなイベントであるか，包括的に分析を行うものである。本年度は特に，ノルウェー，オスロの公共図書館であるDeichmanを対象とした分析を行った。DeichmanのWebページに掲載されたイベントの案内を毎日収集し，包括的なデータ分析を行った。公共図書館においてイベントは，主要なサービスの一つとなってきており，先進的な公共図書館においてその全体像を明らかにすることは，公共図書館におけるイベントのさらなる普及や，イベントの評価に関する研究に寄与するものである。さらに本研究では，公共図書館におけるイベントが，社会分断の克服にどのように寄与するかの議論も行った。（2）の研究は，市民が認識する公共図書館像を明らかにする研究である。新宿区およびオスロ市の住民を対象としてオンラインでの質問紙調査を行った。それぞれの国でオンラインで調査を行うことで，図書館の非利用者も含めた幅広い住民に対する調査が可能となっている。主な質問項目は，「図書館をどのような目的で使用しているか。」「重要だと考える公共図書館の機能は何か。」「公共図書館以外に利用する公共施設は何か。」である。本研究は，利用者である市民の視点から公共図書館がどのような機関であると認識されているかを明らかにすることにより，公共図書館の現代的な機能に関する議論に貢献するものである。図書館のどの観点を評価するのかを議論する際に，公共図書館の現代的な機能を前提とすることが必要となり，その点で図書館評価の方法の検討にも貢献するものである。

While commenting on and discussing the attractions of public libraries, it is necessary to ensure the modern functions of public libraries, and this point is also necessary to contribute to the review of library evaluation methods.
