英文摘要
Global warming is amplified in the Arctic by various feedback processes. One example considers the typically very shallow and stable ABL in the Arctic winter characterized by a pronounced temperature inversion, leading to enhanced warming at the surface. However, the quantification of this so-called lapse rate feedback using actual measurements is lacking. Furthermore, models have major difficulties to correctly represent the shallow ABL and the low-level, distinct temperature inversion and the possible feedback processes. Using tethered balloon measurements at Station Nord in northeast Greenland at the end of winter, we aim to contribute to a better understanding of these processes.
