项目摘要

2022年度はオラリティに関する理論検討および、フィールドワークに際する基礎的な調査を中心に行った。理論検討は識字教育において「語り」という概念にどのようにして関心が集められてきたのかを整理した上で、今後の展望を示したものである。これまでの研究的なアプローチとして学習者の個別性を精緻化するという目的が取られてきたことを明らかにし、その限界として語りを支えるための場の論理の不在を指摘した。そして語りと場の関係を描き出す上での「オラリティ」概念の援用可能性について試論的に検討した。フィールドワークではある自主夜間中学を対象に、教室が毎年発行している文集に対する調査を実行した。文集の収集と文字化を行った上で、教室における文集の位置付けについて、編集に長年関わってきたボランティアスタッフに対する聞き取りから明らかにしようとした。また文集を媒介とした相互理解について、とりわけ世代の違う外国人女性間でのやり取りに着目し、学習者一名に対する継続的な聞き取り調査を行った。結果として、教室自体が国籍によって排除されてきた学習者を対象として発足しながらも、特定の国籍や文化に依ったアイデンティティの強化を主目的とせず、相互の文化交流や理解にも着眼してきたことが明らかになった。関連して、同じ国籍の学習者でも、日常的な生活や労働の場は異なるため、教室はそうした人々にとっても相互理解の場となり得ることが示唆された。
