英文摘要
I have completed all the planned activities (prepare relevant datasets, perform preliminary analyses, and share results with supervisors) within the stipulated time (Apr to Sep 2021). Moreover, I have finalized the abstract ( approved by co-authors) and submitted it to the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japan Epidemiological Association for presentation. Currently, I am drafting the manuscript.Key results: We found a J-shaped relationship between serum irisin levels and total cerebral small vessel disease burden in healthy Japanese men. Serum irisin levels were also related to reduced risk of periventricular hyperintensities, lacunar infracts, and cerebral microbleeds, but not deep and subcortical white matter hyperintensities. This is the first study to examine such associations.
