项目摘要

本研究の目的は、江戸時代絵画史のなかで土佐派、住吉派、板谷派の絵師が宮中の絵所預や幕府の御用絵師としての職掌について、個々の作品を通して検証しながら住吉派や板谷派を含む土佐派絵師の職掌の実情理解と、美術史における土佐派の意義を明らかにすることにある。研究方法として計画したのは、江戸時代中期以降の土佐派絵師による公儀の絵画御用の把握のために、絵所預と御用絵師に大別し、(1)寺社における縁起絵巻の制作と活動の背景(2)模本制作とその活用(3)行事や有職故実の絵画制作における古画の応用の三点から考察することである。この研究目的と方法により、調査研究を進める予定を立てていたが、新型コロナ禍での調査については初年度と比べて少しづつ状況が回復したものの、公立の施設は条件付きで調査は可能であったが、個人所蔵の作品調査には限界があった。そのなかで、先学研究の成果となる展覧会図録を初め、論考等にあたって資料の分類整理を行うとともに、新型コロナ禍の鎮静後を予測して調査準備を進めた。この過程で、大名家に関連する婚礼道具と目される住吉派の「酒呑童子絵巻」（ライプツィヒ民族博物館蔵、根津美術館蔵）並びに福岡藩の御用絵師尾形家の模写に再度注目した。また公家の久我家に伝来する「嫁入り本源氏物語」（國學院大学図書館蔵）、さらに大名家の紀州徳川家伝来の伝住吉如慶筆「源氏物語手鑑」（個人蔵）の調査を行った。このうち紀州家伝来本については、作品の特徴と住吉派の関わりについて考察し、２度の研究発表を行った。研究対象になった大名家、公家に関わる婚礼調度の絵画作品は、各家の家系存続を担う重要事項の一つとして土佐派の職掌を考える契機が見出せた。そこには内裏復興における土佐派絵師に課せられた役目や意義との共通性にも注目する必要があり、この研究に関する新しい方途になると言える。

The purpose of this study is to examine the works of Tosa School, Sumiyoshi School and Itani School in the history of Edo period painting, and to clarify the significance of Tosa School in the history of fine arts. The research methods include: (1) Background of the production activities of the ancient paintings since the beginning of the Edo period;(2) Production and use of the model;(3) Three points of investigation of the production and use of the ancient paintings since the beginning of the Edo period. The purpose and method of this research are as follows: the investigation and research should be carried out in advance; the investigation and research of new types of disasters should be carried out in the first year; the investigation and research of public facilities should be carried out in a way that is less than that of the initial year; the investigation and research of works owned by individuals should be carried out in a way that is less than that of the initial year; the investigation and research of public facilities should be carried out in a way that is possible; and the investigation and research of works owned by individuals should be carried out in a way that is limited. The results of the previous study were recorded in the exhibition, and the classification of the data was carried out. The preparation for the investigation of the new disaster was carried out. The wedding props and objects related to the famous artists were once again noticed by the Sumiyoshi School's "Wine and Children's Museum"(owned by the National Museum and the Nezu Art Museum) and the Fukuoka Domain's imperial teacher's model. The investigation of "Marry into the Story of Genji"(Kokugakuin University Library) and "The Story of Genji"(Personal Collection) by the famous Tokugawa family. This article is about the characteristics of the work and the relationship between the Sumiyoshi school and the research of the second degree. The study of the important matters of the family planning and the important matters of the Tosa school has been carried out in the past. This is the first time that we've had a chance to talk about this.
