项目摘要

日本アメリカ文学会中部支部11月例会（於中京大学）において、本研究の成果を口頭発表することができた。タイトルは「ホラー映画と歴史学――ジョージ・A・ロメロ『トリロジー』が語る小文字の歴史」である。昨年度の日本アメリカ文学会全国大会シンポジウムから本発表までの段階で、本研究の初期段階では「歴史的スティグマ」と呼んだアメリカ植民史の虐殺の記憶を明確に「小文字の歴史」としてキーワード化することが可能になった。映画学的な研究の知識と経験をさらに強化するため、22年度からはフィルムからデジタルという映画史の流れと映画の物語の変化に関する思考を深化させ、ロメロの初期「ゾンビ三部作」（フィルム）とカナダで撮影された「三部作」（デジタル）の違いをフィルム／デジタルの映画史的な変遷から議論する準備を行った。この過程で得た知識と分析法の経験は、日本映画学会第18回大会（於大阪大学）シンポジウム『映像とは何かーーデジタルとアナログの間』における「ガレット・スチュワート――ナラトグラフィーについて」で開示することができた。映画技法論的な考察については、2022年度日本ヘミングウェイ協会全国大会（第32回大会、於九州大学）におけるシンポジウム『ヘミングウェイと身体：テクノロジーの視点から』における発表HemingwayからTarantinoへ ―身体／武器の系譜学―」のおいて詳細な映像分析の実践例を開示することができた。上記によって、本研究の重要な目的の一つである「ホラー映画が保守的な歴史学的言説や他のジャンルの映画では〈語りえない〉事象を視覚的には直接的に、物語構造的にはアレゴリカルに〈語りうる〉ことを歴史学的な根拠と映画研究的な根拠を踏まえて立証するための思考運動上の前提と具体的な方法論」の構築に資する知識と経験を得ることができた。
