项目摘要

提案する再統合(reintegration)の「負の効果」を実証するため、昨年度草稿段階まで進めた日本語の二重ヲ格制約違反の分析を詳しく検討し直し、概念的問題の解決を図るとともに、説明対象を通言語的に拡大して二重対格制約一般をも扱い得る体系の構築を目指した。結果は論文の形に纏め、学術雑誌に掲載済みである。その成果としてとりわけ重要なのは、ラベルが統語体間の選択関係及びθ標示関係に基づいて決定されると仮定することで、ラベル決定法(Labeling Algorithm)への可視性を担保する素性「κ素性」を分析から排除することに成功した点である。更に、この分析はθ標示が最小探査(Minimal Search)に対して統語体を不透明にするという、極めて広汎な帰結を持つ提案を含んでおり、同じ体系で説明しうる現象を探求することによって、より大きな理論的貢献をなすことができると考える。最小探査は、ラベル決定法・素性付置・複製形成(FormCopy)など様々な統語捜査を律する操作であり、提案した分析では転送(Transfer)の適用もまた最小探査を伴うと仮定されているからである。また、このことにより、ラベルはインタフェイスへの写像においてのみ必要であるという本研究の作業仮説に対し、昨年度行ったスカンディナヴィア諸語及び目的語転移現象の分析から得られた否定的結論は、本来の展望に沿う形で再解釈される余地が生じることとなった。即ち、Holmbergの一般化は、目的語転移によって生じる{XP, YP}構造が、動詞移動を介してφ素性が構造の高い位置で共有された場合のみラベル付けされ、インタフェイスで適切に解釈される結果得られるのではなく、目的語転移を伴う構造で節主要部の選択特性を適切に認可されるためには、動詞移動が生じる環境が必要であることから導かれる可能性が示唆された。

The proposal of "negative effect" of reintegration is proved, and the analysis of double case restriction violation of Japanese language is discussed in detail.
