项目摘要

今回の基盤研究（C）では、企業経営の根幹をなす商品開発プロジェクトに焦点を当て、その運営を担う会議でのコミュニケーションを調査研究することにより、体系的なビジネス英語教育（英語教材の開発、英語学習方略の提案）の具体化を目指している。近年、企業を取り巻く様々な外部要因の影響により、ビジネスにおいても不確実性が高まる中、ものづくり企業では海外展開を視野に入れた経営が今まで以上に求められている。この様な環境下、国際ビジネスにおける共通語は英語であるという現状を踏まえ、企業はその規模に関わらず、将来に向けた成長を見据え、それぞれの組織英語力を整備・強化する必要性が高まっていると考えられる。本研究の代表者の辻は、先行する２件の基盤研究（Ｃ）により、グローバル展開を進める企業では「会議」を構成するジャンルの英語使用の頻度と重要性が高いことを明らかにした。その調査研究結果を踏まえ本基盤研究では協力企業２社にインタビューとアンケートを実施し、同２社から提供された商品開発と社内会議資料に関する調査を進めた。その研究結果を「グローバル化を推進するものづくり企業で求められる英語力－プロジェクト会議からの考察－」（査読付き論文）にまとめ2023年3月に発表した。また、これまでの社内通訳者としての実務経験と英語指導経験、そしてビジネス英語教育領域での一連の調査研究を基に、大学英語教育に還元する努力の一環として、会議英語教材２冊を2023年１月に出版した。今後は協力企業２社の組織英語力強化のための調査をさらに進めそれぞれの組織のニーズを反映した英語教材の開発を目指す予定である。そして、その英語教材を使った英語学習方法の提案を含めた体系的な社員英語研修の具体化を計画している。

The present basic research (C) aims at the research and study of enterprise management, product development, business management, conference management, systematic development of English education (English textbook development, English learning strategy proposal). In recent years, enterprises have taken the initiative to improve their business environment due to the influence of external factors. In this context, the international business community has a common language for the current situation, the size of the enterprise, the future development, the necessity of strengthening the English language of the organization. The representative of this study was the first two base studies (C). The frequency and importance of English usage in the organization of meetings were high and low. The results of this research are based on the research conducted by the cooperative enterprise 2, which provides product development and meeting data. The results of the study were published in March 2023 as "The Study of English Power- English teaching materials for conferences and meetings are published in January 2023 as part of a series of research projects in the field of English education. In the future, the investigation and development of English teaching materials for cooperative enterprises will be carried out. English teaching materials are proposed to make English learning methods more systematic and concrete.
