〇2022年度の英語絵本読み聞かせ活動と調査の実施：【活動】2022年度は、ボランティア学生10名と1回90分の練習ミーティングを計23回実施した。学生がミーティングに参加できない場合は、個別にオンラインで指導した。また、小学校での英語絵本読み聞かせに熟知しているカナダ人講師を招いて指導して頂いた。実際の小学校（2校）での読み聞かせボランティア活動は、6月から翌年3月まで（学期中）朝時間15分を頂き、1校では対面で計7回、もう1校ではオンラインで計8回実施した。他には、茨城県の図書館で実施されている絵本の読み聞かせ講座の一つに参加し、指導者としての知見を得た。そこで学んだ事柄を活かし、学生の読み聞かせの改善に役立てた。【調査】ボランティア学生の英語学習やボランティアに対する意識、そしてボランティア先の小学校の児童や児童の担当教師の英語や英語絵本の読み聞かせ等に対する意識を調べるため、活動前後にアンケートを実施した。他には、活動前後の学生の英語力の変化をみるため、2021年度末に受験してもらったCASECテストとCASEC Speakingテストを、2022年度末にも参加学生に受験してもらった。〇2022年度の活動の成果：上記の事前アンケートの結果をまとめ、2022年全国語学教育学会（JALT)第48回年次国際大会にて発表した (題名：The Influence of Reading English Picture Books by University Students)。また、2021年度から調査してきた図書館での英語絵本の読み聞かせの実施状況等をまとめ、所属機関誌「茨城大学全学教育機構論集 大学教育研究,(6),133-140」に発表した（題名：「茨城県の公立図書館における英語絵本の読み聞かせ活動－科研費基盤研究（C）中間報告－」）。
