项目摘要

前年度に整理されたEAPライティング指標項目をもとに学生のライティングを評価し、プロトタイプ作成に向けた研究を行った。理系大学院生を対象に、使用されるEAPジャンルについて行った調査の結果およびライティング評価結果を参照し、各ジャンルで必要な言語能力とジャンル知識を明確にした。一般的な英語力およびEAP能力を測るためのテストと、本研究で開発したライティング指標を用いた評価を比較し、学生のアンケートも参考にして検討を加えた。日本の英語教育の文脈を考慮するために行われた高校検定教科書のライティング記述の分析結果を用いて、異なる教育段階やジャンルに共通するライティング指標のコアとなりうる要素を抽出して指標を調整した。フィードバックがさらに必要な状態ではあるものの、記述内容や表現方法についての調整を行い、プロトタイプとしての指標案を作成した。そのほか、ライティングスキルを含む学習者が習得する必要がある資質やスキルについての指標を可視化して体系的に示す方法の提案も行った。さらに、EAPライティングを教える英語教員が持つべきライティングについての知識や資質についても検討を加えた。テクノロジーの飛躍的な発展にともなう新しいコミュニケーション形態やジャンルについても考察し、今後はEAPジャンルライティング指導へのインパクトについても検討する予定である。以上の研究成果を国際学会および論文にて発表した。
