３年計画の２年目に当たる今年度は、前年度にコロナ禍のため控えざるをえなかった資料調査・現地調査を精力的に実施した。資料調査に出向いたのは、山口県文書館（４月）・東京大学史料編纂所（４月）・広島県立文書館（５月）・島根県奥出雲町横田郷土資料館（８月）・北九州市立いのちのたび博物館（９月）・栃木県茂木町ふみの森もてぎ図書館（９月）、広島大学中央図書館（12月）・岡山県立図書館（２～３月）・島根県立図書館（３月）の各機関である。調査対象は出雲赤穴氏・石見佐波氏の関連資料が中心であるが、武家領主の存在形態と行動様式を考える上で参考事例となる筑前麻生氏や下野茂木氏の資料についても調査を行った。７月には、岡山県津山市および鏡野町で出雲街道周辺の寺社や城郭の現地調査も実施した。いずれも、多くの調査成果を挙げることができた。これまで収集した資料の検討を進め、分析結果をもとに著書『戦国期守護権力の研究』（思文閣出版、2023年３月）を刊行した。とりわけ本書の第１章「出雲における守護支配と武家領主」・補論１「武家領主の権力編成と役負担」・第10章「京極氏から尼子氏への出雲国成敗権の継承」・第11章「戦国期の権力秩序と出雲尼子氏」には、本科研の研究成果が直接反映されている。このほか、「大内氏分国における段銭収取システムと知行制」（志賀節子・三枝暁子編『日本中世の課税制度　段銭の成立と展開』勉誠出版、2022年５月）、「書評・前田徹『中世後期播磨の国人と赤松氏』」（『ヒストリア』292号、2022年６月）、「戦国大名論から戦国期守護論へ」（『史友』55号、2023年３月）の論考を発表した。いずれも、中世後期の守護や武家領主の存在形態と行動様式を探ったものであり、本科研とも密接に関連している。

The 2-year plan of the 3-year plan will focus on data research and on-site investigation during the current year and the previous year's disaster. Data Survey: Demachi Museum, Yamaguchi Prefectural Archives (April), University of Tokyo Historical Archives (April), Hiroshima Prefectural Archives (May), Shimane Prefecture Oku Izumo Yokota Museum of Art (August), Kitakyushu Municipal Archivesび Museum (September)・Tochigi Prefecture Motegi Town Forest Museum (September), Hiroshima University Central Library (December)・Okayama Prefectural Library (February-March)・Shimane Prefectural Library (March) each institution’s information. Investigate the center of information related to the Izumo Akaya clan and the Iwami Saha clan, the existence form and actions of the samurai lords.様式を考える上で Reference case となるChikuzen Aso and Shimono Motegi's information についてもinvestigation を行った. ７月には, Okayama Prefecture Tsuyama City, Kagano Town, Izumo Street, Zhoubei Temple Shrine, Castle Wall, on-site survey, も実事した.いずれも、多くのinvestigation resultsをげることができた.
