项目摘要

今年度は、法燈国師（心地覚心）と法燈国師が開創した由良興国寺（和歌山県由良町）に関する文書・記録・頂相（画像）の調査を中心に実施し、法燈国師の足跡、興国寺の動向、興国寺の末寺とそれに関する資料の把握をすることができた。具体的には、①法燈国師の基本資料である和歌山県立博物館所蔵の由良鷲峰開山法燈円明国師之縁起と鷲峰開山法燈円明国師法語のテキスト化が完了した。さらに、興国寺本・龍仙寺本など各種写本の把握をすることができ、史料校訂に向けての準備が整った。②由良興国寺文書（和歌山県立文書館寄託）のなかから、法燈国師の足跡、美術資料（絵画）、中世興国寺の動向、興国寺の末寺帳などの資料を抽出したうえで、それらの調査・撮影を行った。特に、興国寺の末寺帳や末寺の什物リストから、今後の資料調査の対象地を絞り込むことができるなどの成果があった。③紀州・和歌山県内の法燈派関係寺院のうち、本恵寺（和歌山市）・円明寺（和歌山市）・神宮寺（紀の川市）・誓度院（紀の川市）・長楽寺（有田川町）・長谷寺（由良町）・松巖院（新宮市）・大通寺（三重県紀宝町）に残る法燈国師像および法燈派禅僧関連資料（頂相・古文書など）の調査・撮影をおこなった。なかには学界未紹介の中世に遡る頂相も確認することができた。紀伊半島以外の地域では、信濃・越中を中心に臨済宗法燈派関係地の故地の踏査、および資料調査を実施した。④信濃（長野県）では佐久安養寺・戸隠神社・青木村龍仙寺周辺の踏査を実施し、龍仙寺では法燈国師像・法燈国師法語・袈裟・縁起などの関連資料の調査・撮影をおこなった。⑤越中（富山県）では、国泰寺にて法燈忌の見学、および伝法燈国師像・伝三光国師像の確認をおこなうとともに、法燈派寺院の多かった放生津故地の現地踏査をおこなった。
