项目摘要

2022年度は前年度に続き①20世紀アメリカ海事政策、②海員の生活世界、③ニュージャージー州沿岸諸都市に関する史資料調査の３つを主な取り組みとして設定した。今年度の取り組みでの大きな変化はコロナ禍で中断していた史資料調査の再開である。まず秋にニュージャージー州沿岸の主要都市であるジャージー・シティ、ベイオウン及びホーボーケンで史資料収集を行った。地元公共図書館が所蔵するコミュニティ、産業、人口などに関する史資料を集中的に集め、現地アーキヴィストからの献身的協力もあり、ほぼ必要なものを入手できた。続いて年度末にはエリザベスで調査を実施し、必要な史資料のリストアップを終えた。これらにより今年度の主要作業の一つである③では大きな進展があった。収集した史資料については、各都市の地理や産業上の特徴、各都市間の関係を整理し、11月の研究会で報告した。また、①についてはこれまでに戦前期の考察を終えていたため、2022年度は戦後世界的に拡大した便宜置籍船の推移に焦点を当て、アメリカの冷戦戦略との関連に注意を払いながら考察した。調査の再開と並んで研究上大きな成果となったのはアメリカ歴史家協会（OAH）を代表して来日したエリック・ルーミス氏との議論である。滞在期間中の氏によるレクチャーや、ホストとして全日程をアテンドする中で様々な議論を交わした。アメリカ労働史・環境史を専門とする氏の見識はアメリカ労働運動の最新情勢も包含しており、本研究のテーマでもある国家権力の伸長と日常生活の中で働く人びとが発現する保守主義の相関関係について多くの示唆を得ることができた。この他に書評2本を発表し、いずれも専門外の作品を扱ったため、本研究の視角を拡げることにつながった。

In 2022, compared with the previous year, the following three major groups were selected: (1) maritime policy in the 20th century;(2) the life world of seafarers; and (3) historical data survey on coastal cities in Japan. This year's survey of historical data was reopened. The main cities along the coast of the state are located in the south of the city. Geotechnical public libraries are required to collect historical data on the environment, industry and population, and to cooperate with local authorities. At the end of the year, the survey was carried out and the necessary historical data were collected. This year's main work is a big progress. Collection of historical data, geographical and industrial characteristics of each city, relationship between each city, report of the November seminar In 2022, the world's largest and cheapest shipping company will focus on the development of the cold war strategy. The investigation was reopened and the results were studied on behalf of the Association of Historians (OAH). During the period of delay, we will discuss the whole schedule. The latest developments in the development of conservatism include the development of national power and the emergence of conservatism. This book review is published in the second edition of the book.
