项目摘要

2022年度前半は主に根岸家に収蔵される埴輪類４点（いずれも人物埴輪）に関してフォトグラメトリによる３Dモデル化作業を実施した。これによってWEBサイト上でも当該資料の詳細な情報を公開できることとなる。一昨年度の研究報告である『人文資料形成史における博物館学的研究ー根岸友山・武香旧蔵資料の研究と公開I』2022で五十嵐聡美氏が報告した「根岸武香旧蔵松浦武四郎画『アイヌ舞踊の図』について」の内容を新井端氏が補遺し、『熊谷市史研究』第15号 2023 に「『北海道土人図』についてー松浦武四郎から根岸家へ」を発表し、入手の経緯や図像の比較検討などが加えられ、より詳細な考証によってその資料的価値が再認されることとなった点は意義深い。また、昨年度の同研究報告IIには、内川隆志、樋口典昭氏によって「『榧園好古図譜』第一冊について」を発表し、同図譜に所載されている埴輪類を中心とした考古遺物の現所有者（機関）との対比を行い、検証可能な資料を集成した。新井端氏も『榧園好古図譜』第一冊に所載されている資料の考証として「船木遺跡出土『田村墨書須恵器』について」を発表している。加えて同研究報告Iに、新井端氏が報告した「根岸亭の古器物陳列場について」を補完する立場で、建築史学の専門家である金出ミチル氏と太田陽子氏を伴って蒐古舎の再度査を実施した結果、これまでにない視点での検証がなされ、構造的な問題や部材の用い方など、蒐古舎に関するさらなる詳細が明らかとなった。三浦康之は、松浦武四郎と根岸武香との交流の歴史的な特質を理解する上での比較素材とするため、京都で本草学の学塾・山本読書室を主宰し、尊王攘夷思想を抱き、博物学や古物の方面にも関心を寄せていた山本家に関する資料群（京都府立京都学・歴彩館寄託・山本読書室資料）の中から、書簡や地図、蔵品目録など、武四郎との交流に関する資料を調査した。
