本研究の支柱は（1）香港内政、（2）米中対立・国際秩序変遷の2つの枠組みからの分析である。（1）については、中国が懸念する「カラー革命」への危機認識から、2021年に中国が制定した「国家安全保障維持法」の影響で、香港における自由が弾圧され、民主派勢力が徹底的に排除され、政治的枠組みを大きく転換させられていることを、2019年以降の香港政治の法律・人事・制度・政府機構改革から分析を行った。この分析を通して、中国による「カラー革命」への対応として香港の「警察都市」化が急速に進んでいることの分析を進めた。この研究成果については、政策研究フォーラム編『改革者』2022年8月号収載の拙稿「『中国化』した香港―警察都市化した香港における自由の終焉―」で講評した、また、本年刊行される平和・安全保障研究所（RIPS）の年報『アジアの安全保障2023―2024』に収載される「香港」で公表予定である。（2）については、現在進行している国際秩序再編ならびに現状分析を、渡邊啓貴監修／日本国際フォーラム編『ユーラシア・ダイナミズムと日本』（中央公論新社・2022年7月刊行）収載の「ユーラシアの地政学的変化と中国」、霞山会『東亜』2022年5月号COMPASS収載「ウクライナ侵攻と米中関係」、『東亜』2022年8月号COMPASS収載「G7・NATO を舞台にした米中の覇権競争」、『東亜』2022年11月号COMPASS収載「ロシアを見切れない中国にとっての SCO」、『東亜』2022年７月号収載特集論文「中国にとってのロシア・ウクライナ戦争」、渡邊啓貴編『トピックからわかる国際政治の基礎知識－理論・歴史・地域－』（芦書房、2023年4月刊行）収載の「中国の『一帯一路』構想」「米中関係―大国間における覇権競争」 「中国外交―地域大国からグローバル大国へ台頭した中国の世界戦略」などで公表した。

The pillars of this study are: (1) Hong Kong's internal affairs;(2) China's internal relations; and (3) the transition of international order. (1) China's crisis awareness of the "revolution" in suspense, the impact of China's enactment of the "National Security Maintenance Law" in 2021, the suppression of freedom in Hong Kong, the complete elimination of democratic forces, the political restructuring of Hong Kong since 2019, and the analysis of the reform of Hong Kong's political laws, personnel, systems and government institutions.
