令和4年度実績として以下の研究論文を発表した。①笠原孝太「満ソ水路協定とポヤルコワ水道封鎖問題：乾岔子島事件の前史的研究」『国際関係学部研究年報』（第43巻）。②笠原孝太「乾岔子島事件の対ソ作戦とノモンハン事件への影響：日本側史料・文献から読み解く「満ソ国境紛争処理要綱」と「独断専行」」『軍事史学』（第58巻第4号）。いずれも1937年に勃発した日ソ国境紛争である乾岔子島事件をテーマにしたものである。①論文では、乾岔子島事件の前史的研究を行うために、島のある黒龍江の取り扱いを定めた1934年の「満ソ水路協定」に注目し、同協定締結までの交渉とその後の交渉内容を明らかにした。水路協定には日満とソ連が都合よく理解できる不確実な部分があり、最終的にソ連が協定を破棄するに至った。協定を破棄したソ連は、河川の主航路を封鎖して航路の実効支配を試み、乾岔子島にも上陸し日本軍との武力紛争に発展した。一連の経緯から乾岔子島事件は、ソ連が島そのものを獲得しようとしたのではなく、河川航路を支配するための手段として島を占領した可能性が高いと結論付けた。②論文では、乾岔子島事件が1939年のノモンハン事件に与えた影響を対ソ作戦史から研究した。乾岔子島事件の勃発当初、参謀本部は関東軍に対して強い態度で臨むことを要求し、これに応えるために関東軍は島の奪回作戦の準備を進めていた。しかし、国境紛争が本格的な対ソ戦へと発展することを危惧した参謀本部は、途中で攻撃中止の臨命を関東軍に伝達した。この命令で関東軍内は混乱し、命令に従って中止すべきと主張する東條英機参謀長と作戦の継続を主張する作戦課が対立した。結局作戦の「一時中止」の方針を固めたが、今度は辻政信参謀がこの決定を弱腰と痛烈に批判し、再び対立が生まれた。この時の経験がノモンハン事件での辻の独断専行に繋がっていることを辻の自著等から明らかにした。

The following research papers are presented for the year 2004: (1) Takata Kasahara,"The problem of blocking the waterway: A study of the history of the Ganchishima incident,""Annual Report of the Faculty of International Relations," vol. 43. 2 Takata Kasahara,"The Response to the Ganchishima Incident and the Impact of the Incident: Japanese Historical Materials, Documents,""The Key Principles for the Resolution of the Dispute over the Good Border" and "Decisive Action"(Military History, Volume 58, No. 4). In 1937, the border dispute was solved. 1. A study of the history of the Ganzi Island incident in 1934. The agreement on water transportation is not accurate, and the agreement on water transportation is not accurate. The agreement was broken, the main route of the river was blocked, the control of the route was tried, and the Japanese army was forced to land. A series of incidents occurred on the island, and the possibility of occupation of the island was high. (2) Study on the history of the incident in 1939 At the beginning of the incident, the General Staff Headquarters responded to the strong attitude of the Kwantung Army and made preparations for the recapture of the island. In the case of border disputes, the General Staff Headquarters decided to suspend the attack on the way to the Kwantung Army. The order was to suspend the internal affairs of the Kwantung Army, and the Chief of Staff of Hideki Tojo made a statement. In the end, the policy of "temporary suspension" was firmly established, and now the policy of "political information and consultation" was weak and painful, and the policy of "criticism" and "re-establishment" was born. This is the first time in history that a person has ever been involved in a crime.
