早稲田大学の浜野正樹教授との共同研究、“Epidemics and Macroeconomic Dynamics”では、感染性ウイルスが恒常的に存在している状態を想定し、SISモデルに基づいた分析を行う枠組みを提案する。このようなアプローチは、これまでの動学的マクロ経済分析で使われてきたフレームワークと親和性が高く、速報性の高い実証分析への応用可能性も期待される。 この枠組みを用い、日本とアメリカのデータを使い、マクロ経済変数のヒストリカル分解分析を行なった。この結果、マクロ経済変数の変動を説明する上で、感染性ショックは極めて大きな役割を果たしていることが明らかになった。第二に、Misperceptionを導入したSIR-Macroモデルは、国際比較を行うため、各国データをもとに、計39国についてのモデルパラメータの推計は一旦終了したが、昨今の感染症の動向（ワクチン接種の普及と変異株の登場）によりモデルの変更が必要となり、改訂作業が現在進行中である。第三に、日本において、新型コロナウィルス感染状況の把握に関して、認識違いが各都道府県において存在していることが明らかになった（異なったmisperception）。この要因を探るため、アンケート調査の結果をもとに、どのような要因がその違いを説明しうるか分析を行なっている。本研究は、早稲田大学の浜野正樹教授、Kongphop Wongkaew、慶應義塾大学の大久保敏弘教授との共同研究として進行中である。

Professor Masaki Hamano of Waseda University and his co-research team,"Epidemiology and Macroeconomic Dynamics," proposed the establishment of a system for analyzing the basic conditions of infectious diseases.
