项目摘要

２年目の研究実績の概要は以下の通りである．1. 一部の先進国で観察される賃金の二極化と大学授業料の上昇を，大学間競争モデルを用いて説明した．大学によって修了要件に差があり，学位を取りやすい大学と取りにくい大学が共存しているというのが主な仮定である．一部の大学で修了要件が緩和されると，大卒労働市場が拡大し，生産性の低い企業に就職する大学生が増える．他方，修了要件の緩和は大学のシグナリング機能を低下させるため，修了要件が厳格な大学への志願者が増加する．その結果，すべての大学の授業料が増えるとともに，修了要件が緩和された大学の卒業生の賃金が低下する．主な結果を日本語でまとめ，大学紀要に発表する予定である．また，大学の修了要件に関する実証研究を踏まえたうえで，内容を拡張した英語版を，2023年度に学会で報告する予定である．2. 都市と地方の賃金格差(urban wage premium)と，地方財政の格差を是正する手段としての地方交付税交付金の制度設計のメカニズムを，政治経済学の手法を用いて分析した．論文は海外の学術誌に投稿中である．3. 年齢とともに労働者の生産性格差が拡大する点に注目し，年金や人口高齢化が資本蓄積，所得格差，厚生格差に与える影響を分析した．人口高齢化は，予備的貯蓄を増やすことで資本蓄積を促進する．資本が増えると労働者の生産性が上昇するため，働くことを選択した高齢者と退職することを選択した高齢者の間の厚生格差が拡大する．他方，相対的に生産性の低い高齢者が労働市場にとどまることにより，働き続ける高齢者の平均的な厚生は低下する．本研究の貢献の1つは，人口高齢化と高齢者の厚生格差の間にU字型の関係があることを示した点である．論文は，海外の学術誌に掲載されている（Hirono and Mino 2023）．

The difference in production character between the elderly and the elderly is large, and the impact of capital accumulation due to the increase in the number of elderly is analyzed. The population growth is increasing, and the reserve stock is increasing. The productivity of the capital increases. The productivity of the capital increases. On the other hand, the opposite is the low productivity and high productivity of the market. The contribution of this study is as follows: 1.
