项目摘要

本研究は，動学マクロ経済学において重要な役割が付与される時間選好率の決定に注目する。時間割引に関係する重要性の高い課題に注目するが，共通するのは経済主体の意思決定に無視できない影響を及ぼすネガティブイベントに分類できる点である。具体的には「COVID-19」「東日本大震災」「地球環境問題」に焦点を当てるが，イベントの進展速度と将来の不確実性の度合いにおいて，これらのイベントの間には著しい違いがある。そうした違いが時間選好率の内生的決定要因を左右し，結果的に経済のパフォーマンスに大きく影響する可能性があり，理論分析と実証的なチェックによって仮説の検証を試みる。令和4年度は，研究プロセスも充実したものとなったが，多くの研究論文を公刊させることができた。内容の一端については，以下の「現在までの進捗状況」の項で述べることとし，本項では研究実績を形式的に整理しておく。本報告書では，採択済みでオンライン版が公開されているものも含めて記載していくが，末尾の研究業績に含めるものは，冊子版が出版されて巻号ページ等が確定したものに限る。実績を大別すると，研究テーマの基盤である時間割引に関する理論研究とそれと密接に関係するCOVID-19についての実証研究に分類することができる。理論的研究は4点が公刊され，その中の1点が確定業績となった。実証研究（いずれもCOVID-19関連）としては公的機関刊行のディスカッションペーパー1点を含む5点が公刊され，その中の3点が確定業績となった。令和4年度から5年度にかけて，これらの研究はさらに深められ研究論文としてまとめ上げられる予定であり，すでに刊行が予定されているものも複数存在する。これまで広い意味でのパンデミック研究に集中してきたが，その収束傾向の実態に合わせ，徐々に地球環境問題や大規模自然災害にも目を向けた研究のウェイトを高めていく予定である。
