项目摘要

2022（令和4）年度は新型コロナウィルスの収束していなかったこともあり、資料調査を開始したものの、複数回にわたる資料調査を行うことはできなかった。他方、実施した資料調査で得られた資料と知見（OBによるヒアリング）は多かったため、それらを研究代表者と研究分担者・研究協力者と共有した。そのうえで今後の資料調査及び目録作成のための研究計画や論点を議論した。具体的には次の通りである。①仮目録と撮影画像との照合、②図面資料の確認と東洋紡績等他社及び鐘紡の別工場との比較、③企業文化に関わる資料の選定と分析：本社―工場間の関係や従業員教育・女子教育など労務管理、④③と関連して労働運動に関する研究、⑤地域社会・経済との関係、⑥⑤と関連して同地域同業他社との関連：とくに製糸結社「依田社」や「信濃絹糸紡績」（依田社の子会社―現「シナノケンシ」）が重要であると考えられる、⑦丸子鐘紡が日本で最後の絹糸紡績工場となるが、なぜ、丸子が最後まで存続しえたのか等である。くわえて、以下の点がヒアリングから判明した。丸子工場で行っている工程は絹糸紡績の上で重要な工程、特に精錬はセリシンを苛性ソーダや石けんを用いて落とす工程で、化学工業の性格が強い。そのあとの製綿以降の工程は、形状変化のみである。戦前期には9の絹糸紡績工場があったが、戦後は３工場へと数を減じ、新町工場を休止して以降は、丸子工場は鐘紡唯一の絹糸紡績工場であった。鐘紡は他社を買収しながら経営規模を拡大していった企業であるが、中でも丸子工場は自社で一から設計・経営を推進した貴重な工場である。そのため、実際の設計・建設を担ったのは清水建設だが、鐘紡の理念が反映されている可能性が大きい。
