2022年度は、当初計画の愛媛県西条市の企業についての事例研究を9月に実施した。また2021年度の状況から追加的に調査計画に加えた①徳島県神山町のサテライトオフィス形態での進出企業の動向調査、②長﨑県佐世保市のHISによるハウステンボスの取組みについての現地調査を実施できた。さらに追加調査予定であった福島県会津若松市のアクセンチュアの進出動向は、都合によりとりやめ、③兵庫県洲本市におけるJTBパブリッシング（旅行会社系出版会社）による地域活性化と、④宮城県気仙沼市の藤崎百貨店（本社仙台市）の地域での展開、及び全国的な大手冷蔵会社の進出による活動状況を現地に赴き調査することにして、それを実施した。愛媛県西条市に関しては、キリンビール撤退後の同社が行っていた地域対応活動（ビール園の運営及び、感謝の森（森林整備活動））のその後の実施動向などを現地調査・インタビューを行った。企業による地域活性化の場合、当該企業が企業都合で地域から撤退した場合を想定した地域側の対応の重要性を今回発見できた。またその事案に関連して撤退も想定した企業の地域への活動の観点で、当初調査対象でなかったヤマハの音楽事業など新たな事例研究対象も発見できた。長﨑県佐世保市のHISハウステンボスの事例研究に関しては、12月以降取り組んだため、研究室学生メンバーも投入して調査・分析し、3月に都道府県会館にて研究報告を行うまでにまとめることができた。
