2023年度は、主に二つの方向性で研究を進めてきた。第一に、広告論の理論的基盤の再評価を行うべく、広告効果モデル及び消費者行動モデルの基礎を成す（加えて、Rogersの新製品採用モデルの基礎とさえされている）AIDAモデル（Attention-Interest-Desire-Action）の起源を探究する研究に従事してきた。これは、現在の支配的なマーケティング理論である世界的マーケティング学者Philip Kotler（及びK. KellerやG. Armstrong）による『Marketing Management』及び『Principles of Marketing』における見解を大きく覆すものであると同時に、それらの見解が極めて杜撰な資料分析を通じて流布されたことを明らかにするものである。より具体的には、AIDA理論の起源は、長年（少なくとも約40年ほど）信じられてきたElmo Lewisの18世紀の研究成果ではなく、むしろ19世紀初頭のSheddon Schoolのセールスマン養成のために制作・出版された指導用テキストの中に見出されるというものである。この発見は、マーケティング理論全体から見ると、ごく僅かな貢献であるものの、現状において上記両テキストブックにおいて、数百もの参照資料が提示されている中で日本人研究者による研究が僅か一つしか見当たらない（しかも、それは日本の事例に関するケーススタディでる）ことを踏まえると、我が国のマーケティング研究が世界レベルで認められるための第一歩になると思われる。第二に、サステナビリティ・マーケティングに関連して、最新の研究動向の追尾を行った。これらの準備作業は2023年度において実を結ぶものであり、引き続き研究を進めていく予定である。
