研究2年目として、1年目に実施した文献調査を国際学会（39th International Human Science Research Conference）で発表し、ソーシャルワークにおける現象学研究の動向や意義について発信した。医療や心理、教育など他領域を含む海外研究者らと現象学的研究について議論することによって、ソーシャルワークの特質をより鮮明化する成果があった。これを基に、原著論文として国内雑誌（『社会福祉学』）に発表し、日本でほとんど取り組まれていないソーシャルワーク実践の現象学的研究への道筋を開いた。また研究1年目に予定していたがコロナ禍で実施できなかたった、ソーシャルワーカーへのインタビュー調査を実施した。急性期病院に勤務する救急認定ソーシャルワーカー（Emergency Social Worker）3名から、専門職としての経験を深く聞き取り、現象学的分析を進めた。ここから本研究課題である現場ソーシャルワーカーがどのような実践や課題に現象学を活用することができるか、研究分担者とともに検証していく。今後は、海外の現象学的研究指導の知見をさらに研究し、日本のソーシャルワーク実践に即した研修モデル構築に向けて、アクションリサーチの準備を進める計画である。特に令和5年度は、現象学的研究に関する国際学会を日本に招致し、ソーシャルワークの現象学的研究への関心を高める契機とする。
