本研究は、地域で暮らす高齢者の生活実態を社会的側面から捉え、高齢者の自助に留まらず、地域での住民互助の頻度及び内容と自立期間の関連について縦断的に検証することを目的としている。特に、現在、要介護認定に至る原因疾患として最も多い認知症に着目している。認知症による要介護認定者の増加は、今後の保険者の介護保険給付費に影響を及ぼすと推測され、その関連を明らかにすることは介護予防施策に寄与できる。研究方法は、保険者が３年ごとに実施する介護予防・日常生活圏域ニーズ調査データをベースラインデータとして用いる。さらに、高齢者の地域生活における社会的側面を焦点化した調査項目を加える。調査対象者の転帰は、保険者データ(要介護認定・死亡データ等)により縦断的に追跡する。令和３年度は、調査協力2保険者から提供を受けた①令和２年度実施済みの介護予防・日常生活圏域ニーズ調査データによるデータベース作成を行った。令和４年度は、②令和２年度調査対象者の令和4年末までの転帰データのデータベース作成行った(継続中)。③当初協力保険者は２保険者であったが、１保険者の追加協力を得、その調整とデータベース作成を行った(継続中)。④3保険者による令和４年度介護予防・日常生活圏域ニーズ調査のデータ提供を受け、⑤令和５年度は、各データベースを作成し、既存データと統合、中間分析を予定している。
