2022年度では「ローマにおけるユダヤ人幼児院改革-公教育省事務官ラヴァの手紙から-」の題目で、教育学論究 第13号に投稿した。研究のための資料は、イタリア・ウーディネにあるヴィンチェンツォ・ヨッピ市民図書館の中にある古文書館「写本と希少品セクション」に収まっていた。この研究は、公教育省事務官ヴィットーレ・ラヴァからの手紙を分析することにより、1881年から1885年までの、ローマのユダヤ人保育園をめぐる状況を明らかにするものであった。主な研究の対象は、ラヴァがイタリアで最初の幼稚園を立ち上げたアドルフォ・ピックに送った手紙から始まった。当時はまだ北イタリアのようにローマはユダヤ人に開かれておらず、田舎のような様子や、ユダヤ人が排斥される現状の中、ユダヤ人であるラヴァの苦悩が書かれており、当時のローマの様子が見て取れた。また同じくユダヤ人であったアドルフォ・ピックとの交流は、お互いにライバル意識と反目心をもちながらも、次のような結果を得た。それは、①ラヴァとピックは互いに対立しながらも、フレーベル幼稚園の開設に力を注いだこと。②公教育事務官として幼稚園に高度な知識を持つようになったラヴァは、ピックに幼稚園の改革を指示したこと。そして、③ローマでは、ラヴァの情熱からユダヤ人の保育園改革が徐々に進んだ。ということである。
