项目摘要

本研究の目的は、戦前の新民謡運動を契機とした師範学校における郷土教育の実態と戦後への影響を明らかにすることである。令和4(2022)年度では、新民謡運動が師範学校における郷土教育へ及ぼした影響の検証を行った。具体的には、秋田県師範学校、秋田県女子師範学校、茨城県師範学校、茨城県女子師範学校を対象とした。各師範学校の『綜合郷土研究』、調査報告書の収集ならびに「郷土室」に関する資料を収集し、日本の民謡の実践を整理した。その後、『綜合郷土研究』等に基づき、師範学校における新民謡の位置付けやSPレコードの果たした役割を解明した。その他、各附属小学校が独自で刊行した文献等の収集も行った。『秋田県綜合郷土研究』における「新作民謡」は、1934(昭和9)年、秋田県社会教育課内の秋田郷土芸術協会から発行された『秋田郷土芸術』に基づき、記載された点を明らかにした。『秋田県綜合郷土研究』には《湯瀬小唄》は所収されていないが、湯瀬温泉は紹介されている。《湯瀬小唄》は、湯瀬温泉の宣伝歌として、十和田タイムズ社の公募した歌詞で、山崎忠郎(1913?-1983)が作詞し、中山晋平(1887-1952)が作曲した。『秋田県綜合郷土研究』には、秋田県鹿角市出身の小田島樹人(1885-1959)作曲の《鹿角小唄》(川村薫作詞)、《花輪小唄》(高杉露星作詞)も掲載されている。中でも《鹿角小唄》は、1931(昭和6)年、花輪線開通記念として花輪劇場で披露され、1932(昭和7)年、コロムビアから新橋喜代三(1903-1963)が唄うSPレコード(27109B)が発売された点を確認できた。
