自閉症スペクトラム障害（ASD）児にみられる「反復的行動」と対人相互交渉における質的障害との関連を検討するため，2022年度は，1）関連する先行研究のレビュー，2）児童発達支援センターにおける療育場面の観察とデータ整理・分析，3）奈良女子大学大学院附属心理・教育相談室でのASD児への支援場面の観察・分析の3点を実施した。先行研究のレビューでは，自傷行動と常同行動，限局行動，儀式的行動を中心とした反復的行動について，先行研究の到達点と研究課題について整理した。これまでの研究結果から，反復的行動と対人相互交渉における質的障害に関連がみられること，情動調整機能などの適応行動スキルの制約が自傷行動の産出につながる可能性があることなどが明らかにされている一方で，これらの研究はASD児の養育者を対象とした質問紙による検討が中心であり，反復的行動と対人相互交渉で用いられる行動について直接的な観察を縦断的に実施し，その発達プロセスを詳細に検討する必要性が指摘されていることが明らかとなった。同時に療育場面や相談室での支援場面の観察を実施し，1）ASD児が示す反復的行動の変容過程，2）対人相互交渉に用いられる行動の発達的変化，3）ASD児が示す反復的行動に対して相互交渉の相手となる他者が行うはたらきかけ方の特徴の3点を中心にデータ分析を実施した。現時点では分析の途中であるものの，①産出する反復的行動の形態が同一である（例：手を叩きながらジャンプしてかがむ）ものの，行動にコミュニケーション意図がある場合（例：喜びの表現，あるいは課題の回避）とそのような意図がない場合（例：活動の待ち時間にみられる自己刺激的行動）があること，②相互交渉の相手となる他者はコミュニケーション意図がない反復的行動に対する明確な応答を示さない傾向があることの2点が明らかとなった。
