2021年度には、本研究課題「交互練習の効果を調整する要因を特定する基礎研究」に着手する前段階として、「交互練習にどのような効果が期待されるのか」という点と、「そもそも、交互練習の対概念であるブロック練習にどのような弱点があるのか」という点についての検証を行った。2022年度には、次の２点に取り組んだ。１点目として、2021年度に検証した問題のうち「ブロック練習の弱点」について、その検証結果を第３者が共有できるようにするための論文化の作業に取り組んだ。論文化の作業においては、まず、「ブロック練習の弱点」が、これまでの先行研究で議論されてきた学習上の問題とどのように関係しているのかについて、その共通点と差異を明確に整理した。その上で、今回の研究結果と先行研究をもとに、「ブロック練習をどのように捉えたら良いのか」という点や、「現状の実践をどうしたら良いのか」という点についての議論を明確に行うようにした。２点目として、「交互練習の効果を調整する要因」として何に着目するかを検討するために、成長マインドセットという概念に注目し、その概念が学習効果に及ぼす影響を検討する研究に取り組んだ。今年度はまず、中学生を対象として、成長マインドセットを測定するための質問紙調査を実施し、その調査結果と、テストの成績との関連を分析した。その結果、成長マインドセットとテスト成績との間には有意な正の相関があることが確認された。
