项目摘要

著しく劣化したスレート波板小片の下部および周囲に黒色フェルト布を配し、スレート片上部約90cmより雨滴を模した水滴を滴下することで、水滴の衝突に伴う表面からのアスベスト飛散の有無を調べた。その結果、スレート小片下部のフェルト布のみならず側面のフェルト布にもアスベストの付着が確認された。このことから、雨滴がスレート板に衝突する際に表面からアスベストが剥離しうること、剥離したアスベストは流水によって流出するのみならず直接周囲に飛散しうることが確認された。次に、劣化度の異なるスレート波板小片を用いた屋外にて暴露し、飛散した粒子を黒色フェルト布で捕捉することでアスベスト飛散の有無および劣化度の違いによる飛散量の差の有無を確認した。その結果、劣化度の違いによらずアスベストの飛散が確認されたものの、著しく劣化したスレート小片においてより多くのアスベストの飛散が確認された。このことから、降雨によるアスベストの剥離は劣化度によって大きく異なることが示唆された。実際にアスベスト含有スレート波板が使用されている農機倉庫において調査を行った。防虫網を利用したサンプラを作成して屋根端に取り付け、降雨によって飛散するアスベストの捕集を試みた。また、ロール状の防虫網を雨樋に挿入することで、流水中のアスベストの捕集も試みた。更に、当該農機具倉庫周辺の堆積物も採取し、アスベストの混入の有無を調べた。3か月間の暴露後に回収した雨樋に設置した防虫網には夥しい量のアスベストが付着しており、相当数のアスベストが流出していることが示唆された。また屋根端のサンプラにも夥しい数のアスベストの付着が確認された。更に、周辺の堆積物からもアスベストが検出された。これらのアスベストは他の粒子やセメント基材の付着がないものが多く、乾燥後の再飛散が懸念される形態であった。
