项目摘要

本研究課題では、バングラデシュにおける環境耐性をもつ稲の新品種導入における新技術伝播の状況、要因、問題点について農民の持つ情報格差がもたらす影響を経済学の観点からの実証研究を行うことを予定する。技術情報伝播のあり方としては、農民間のうわさや口コミ情報、トレーダーや技術開発普及員からの伝え聞きという伝統的なルートとともに、同国では普及が著しい携帯電話網やオンラインソーシャルネットワークの可能性をさぐり、同時に農業技術の伝播についての新たな知見を得ることを目的とする。とりわけ携帯電話網からの文字情報と音声情報の有用性を2種の情報を明確に峻別して分析する点、また情報伝播で問題となる情報疎外者問題を探るための検証を行う。対象となる農家は、現地の協力研究機関と共同で選定した独自の500軒の農家家計調査によるマイクロデータを用いた検証を予定している。2022年度においては、全世界的なコロナウイルスの感染がおさまらず、研究代表者の現地への出張が困難であり、前年度からひき続いて農家訪問調査を安全に実施するための感染状況に落ち着いてはおらず、現地協力機関からも同年度中の調査は延期をつよく勧められた。そのため、現地協力機関とのメール連絡やオンライン会議による打ち合わせや遠隔作業を行い、家計調査員への事前訓練を遠隔で行い、次年度からの家計調査が円滑に進むのための準備作業については、すでに共同作業を開始している。
