昨年度までに、大分県では歯科医療従事者のB型およびC型肝炎の職域検診を実施し、50-70歳代の対象者では、HBs抗原とHCV抗体の陽性率が高いことが判明した（Nagao Y, et al, BioMed Rep 14, 2021）。この結果を受けて、教育用冊子を作成し、大分県内487歯科医院に勤務する2,197名の歯科医療従事者に配布し、肝炎とその予防に関する教育を行った。調査はオンラインで実施し、521名の歯科医療従事者（歯科医師228名/歯科医師以外の歯科スタッフ293名）が回答した。本研究は倫理委員会の承認を得た上で実施した。回答者の99.5％が教育用冊子を有用と感じ、87.3％が今後の肝炎ウイルスの受検意欲に影響を受けたと答えた。全体の61.6％が経皮的外傷（針刺し・切創）を経験していたが、その対処法を十分に理解していた割合は19.4％だった。B型肝炎ワクチンの接種率、過去のB型肝炎ウイルス（HBV）受検率、過去のC型肝炎ウイルス（HCV）受検率は、各々62.4％、71.8％、43.2％だった。B型およびC型肝炎について十分な知識を有する者は10.6％だった。歯科医師を除くスタッフは、歯科医師に比べ、冊子を読む前のHBV/HCV受検率（P＜0.0001）、経皮的外傷時の対処法の認識（P＜0.0001）、肝炎の認知度（P＜0.0001）が有意に低かった。また冊子を読んだ後の教材の理解度（P=0.0227）や他者への肝炎受検勧奨の影響度（P=0.0003）も 歯科医師以外の歯科スタッフのほうが有意に低かった。教育用冊子は、歯科医療従事者に対して肝炎や経皮的外傷後の措置に関する知識を高め、肝炎の受検意欲を上げる効果につながると思われた。

The prevalence of hepatitis B and hepatitis C in dental practitioners was significantly higher in the past year than in the 50-to 70-year-old subjects (Nagao Y, et al, BioMed Rep 14, 2021). The results of this study were published in an educational booklet, which was distributed to 2,197 dental practitioners at the 487 Dental Hospital in Oita. 521 dental practitioners (228 dentists/293 non-dentists) responded to the survey. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee. 99.5% of respondents felt that educational brochures were useful, and 87.3% felt that they were affected by future hepatitis. 61.6% of all skin injuries (acupuncture and incision) were well understood, and 19.4% of all skin injuries were well understood. Hepatitis B vaccination rate, hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection rate and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection rate were 62.4%, 71.8% and 43.2% respectively. 10.6% of patients with hepatitis B and C had high knowledge. There were significant differences in the prevalence of HBV/HCV among dentists, dentists, brochures (P<0.0001), knowledge of cutaneous trauma (P <0.0001), and awareness of hepatitis (P <0.0001). The understanding of the textbook after the manual was divided (P=0.0227) and the influence of hepatitis on others (P=0.0003) were significantly lower than those of dentists. Educational pamphlets are intended for dental practitioners to improve knowledge of hepatitis and post-traumatic management of the skin, and to improve the response to hepatitis.
