本研究の目的は、看護学実習における看護学生の学習目標の達成を効果的に支援するための一方法であるシャドウイングの方法を用いる実習（以下、シャドウイング実習）に活用できる実習指導ガイドを作成することである。第１段階として、令和4年度は、看護師を対象に、シャドウイング実習において「看護師が直面する困難」と「看護師の教育的意図とその行動」を解明することを目指した。続いて、第2段階として、看護職養成教育機関に所属する教員を対象に、「シャドウイング形式による実習のねらい」を解明するための調査実施の準備を進める予定であった。看護師を対象とする第１段階の調査に用いる質問紙について、2施設の医療機関でパイロットスタディを実施した。質問紙の記載内容を分析し、質問紙の信頼性、妥当性を確認した。また、看護職養成教育機関に所属する教員を対象とする第2段階の調査に用いる質問紙について、専門家による検討、及び5施設の看護職養成教育機関でパイロットスタディを実施した。質問紙の記載内容から問いの設定や質問項目の内容について再検討し、質問紙の信頼性、妥当性を確認した。さらに、本調査に向けて、調査対象とする100床以上の医療施設、および教育機関（大学・専修学校）の選定を終了し、データ収集の準備を進めている。令和4年度9月以降、産前産後休暇及び育児休業を取得したため、研究を一時中断しており、データ収集に至っていない。研究再開後は、速やかにデータを収集する予定である。
