2023年1月にプレテストを実施した。従来行われている保湿方法として塗布による保湿がある。本研究では、高齢者の皮膚に負担がかからず、かつケア提供者の簡便性に利すると考えられる非接触型の噴霧方法に着目している。プレテストでは、塗布と噴霧という保湿方法の違いは、保湿効果に違いをもたらすのか否かを明らかにする目的で調査を実施した。対象者として在宅で暮す60歳代から90歳代の男女8名に対して、両下腿に無作為化ハーフサイド試験を計画した。具体的には、精製水・グリセリン・尿素で保湿剤を作成し、同量の保湿剤を任意の片側下腿に塗布、もう一方の下腿に噴霧し、保湿剤使用前・使用直後・5分後・15分後・30分後・60分後に角質水分量を測定した。その他の調査項目として、基本属性や疾患、清潔習慣、保湿習慣のアンケート調査を実施した。結果として、保湿方法による保湿効果に有意な差は認められなかった。また、作成した保湿剤による発赤や掻痒などの影響はなかった。今後は高齢者施設などで噴霧による保湿方法を使用してもらい、高齢者に対する保湿効果を検証するとともに、ケア提供者にとって手技の簡便性や改善点などを明らかにする。
