重症心身障害児・者の親の養育に関する生活の実態について，小児期から青年期への移行時期や青年期初期に焦点をあてた全国的な調査は見当たらず，十分な見解が得られていない。本研究は，AYA世代重症心身障害児・者(以下，重心児・者と記す)と親(主な養育者)の在宅生活の実態と，養育及び介護における負担感を明らかにすることである。この結果は，AYA世代重心児・者と親への支援策を具体化するための資料となり，家族が安心できる生活を送ることへ寄与することである。研究方法は，自記式質問紙調査を行い，対象者は，重心児・者の年齢が15歳以上25歳までの親(主な養育者)とした。まず，重心児・者が会員と考える全国の患者家族会10か所に対して，アンケート調査の協力依頼を行い，その後，患者家族会を通じて対象者へのアンケート調査票を郵送法にて配布し，対象者からの返信をもって同意を得た。アンケート項目は，『養育介護負担感』と『養育介護負担感に影響する因子』で構成されている。養育介護負担感については先行文献や既存の尺度を参考に34項目を作成し「AYA世代重心児・者養育介護負担感調査票」とした。養育介護負担感に影響する因子には，養育者と重心児・者の基本的属性，周囲からのサポート，福祉手当と障害福祉サービス等の利用状況，訪問看護利用状況を調査した。AYA世代の重心児・者と親の在宅生活の実態について，在宅生活期間や重心児・者の身体的状況，周囲からのサポートや福祉サービス利用状況等が明らかになった。また，AYA世代重心児・者養育介護負担感については，探索的因子分析及び確認的因子分析を行い，養育及び介護負担感の構造を明らかにした。在宅生活の実態は一部学会にて報告を行い，現在は明らかになったAYA世代重心児・者と親の在宅生活の実態と，養育及び介護負担感の構造について論文投稿の準備を進めている。

The parents of children with severe psychosomatic disorders are closely related to the actual state of life, from childhood to adolescence and transition to early adolescence.
