国内で新型コロナウイルスの感染が初めて確認されてから3年が経過している。2022年度は全国782名を対象に「国内文化・スポーツイベントに関するアンケート」をWeb（株式会社マクロミル）で実施した（2023/03/15～20）。ここでは、国内文化・スポーツイベント参加実態及びサービス評価の概要を示す。イベント参加状況は、文化イベントが536名（68.5%）、スポーツイベントが487名（62.3%）、地域イベントが389名（49.7%）であった。アクティブ系のイベント参加率が低い傾向を示したが、2021年度に比べると「大幅、あるいは少し増えた」が、約3割となっている。イベントへの関わり方で最も多いのが「観る」であり、約7～9割を占めた。スポーツイベントの特徴は約3割弱が選手・出場・参加者となっている点である。イベントに対する興味・関心が高いのは、文化イベントで564名（72.2%）、スポーツイベントは489名（62.5%）であった。この主な魅力は「ワクワク感」であったが、特に文化イベントでは「感動、非日常感」、スポーツイベントでは「熱狂感、一体感」と違いが示された。さらに、イベントの効果として、「興味・関心、活動参加の促進」「経済活性化」「イメージ・認知度の向上」が期待され、いずれもスポーツイベントの方が文化イベントよりも期待される傾向を示した。イベントのサービス評価は、おおよそ「基本的なサービス（アクセス・駐車場、料金、安全管理、内容・技術、雰囲気、座席、ゲスト）」「期待・膨張的なサービス（食、情報、イベント、会場、物販、ハイブリット配信）」の2因子構造を示した。これまでスポーツイベントでは「安全管理対策」を「基本的なサービス」として扱ってきたが、文化・スポーツイベントととともに「基本的なサービス」として位置づけられ、重要なサービスとなっていることが明らかとなった。
