本研究は幼少期の子どもを対象に幼稚園、保育園、小学校ならびに放課後児童クラブ等においても活用できる連続性のある体育・運動能力向上に繋がる陸上ならびに水中運動の要素も取り入れた運動や遊びのプログラムを開発し、それらを実際に体系的に実施することによる効果を検証するとともに、その各プログラムの現場での普及を図ることを目的とした。研究2年次にあたる本年は、①小学校での水泳授業用に考案した泳ぐために必要な動作の習得につながる準備運動や運動プログラム、ならびに②陸上での各運動の向上に繋がる多様な運動の要素を含んだプログラムを考案し、③それらを実際に小学校における体育授業の中で実践し、その効果について検証を行なった。この①の泳ぐための動作習得に繋がる準備運動や運動プログラムにおける効果の検証として、小学6年生を対象に、全5回の授業のうち2～4回目の計3回(1回の運動時間は60分程度）において陸上での準備運動や水中で泳ぐなかで実施した。その結果、児童全体の25m自由形において、介入により息継ぎ回数は有意に減少した一方、記録は有意な向上を示した。次に泳ぎのフォームを得点評価した結果、特に手回し動作に関連する項目を中心に有意な向上を確認した。次に②の陸上での各運動の向上に繋がるプログラムとして跳び箱運動に繋がる多様な運動を考案し、その効果の検証として、小学6年生を対象に、全5回の授業のうち2～4回目の計3回(1回の運動時間は40分程度）において実施した。開脚跳び、かかえ込み跳び、台上前転におけるフォームを得点評価した結果、踏みきり、空中、着地までの局面において有意な向上を確認した。これまでの研究から、幼児から小学校高学年児童のどの段階においても、それぞれの種目に必要な動きに関連する動作を含むような遊びや運動を行うことで、部分的なところからその動作全体へと繋がる動きの向上が見込まれる。
