2022年度の研究実績は、これまでの研究内容を整理した上でワーキングペーパーを作成し、学会発表を行ったことである。研究内容と意義は、以下のように要約できる。本研究では、東京証券取引所の市場区分が再編される以前の2013～2020年を分析期間とした上で、マザーズおよびJASDAQの上場基準を満たすIPO企業が上場する際の市場選択行動に対して上場基準・上場廃止基準が与える影響を検証した。分析の結果、マザーズにIPOした企業においてアンダープライシングが確認された。この点について、マザーズの上場基準・上場廃止基準を上回ることによるアンダープライシングへの影響を検証したが、アンダープライシングを抑制する効果はみられなかった。次に、マザーズの市場選択に関する決定要因を検証した結果、マザーズIPO企業の特徴として、社齢が若く、時価総額や時価簿価比率が高い傾向があることが示された。他方、マザーズの上場基準・上場廃止基準を上回ることと同市場選択の意思決定に関する因果関係は観察されなかったほか、上場費用の削減やピア企業の多さといった要因も上場市場の選択動機として説明できなかった。本研究の貢献として以下の点が期待できる。第1に、上場基準・上場廃止基準の設定値が市場選択に与える影響を明らかにしたことが挙げられる。第2に、2つの市場が選択可能な状況におけるIPO企業の市場選択行動の検証を通じて、上場基準・上場廃止基準が果たす役割を明らかにしたことである。シニア市場とジュニア市場の基準の違いを分析した海外研究はみられるが、ジュニア市場が複数用意された状況は日本の特徴である。分析期間中、マザーズのIPO件数が多かった事実に対して、経済的な示唆を与えることも実務上の重要な示唆となる。
