According to the proposed research plan, our aim is to extract the collective reaction path as well as the collective inertial mass for nulcear reacions, so as to analyse the microscopic mechanism of nuclear fusion/fission. In our previous work, we succeeded to obtain the inertial masses in a schematic model. From the year 2020 we performed a systematic research on the calculations of "Microscopic collective inertial masses for nuclear reaction in the presence of nucleonic effective mass", which is also the title of the paper we published in Physical Review C (Kai Wen et.al. Phys. Rev. C 105, 034603, 2022), in this paper we extended our method and made innovative understanding on nuclear collective inertial mass. Then we performed more advanced calculations beyond the traditional meanfield approximation, where the nuclear pairing interaction is included and the modern nuclear density functionls are being applied. This calculation requires more sophisticated numerical techniques and finally significant achievements are made, preliminary progress is reported on the conferences YITP Workshop “Fundamentals in density functional theory 2022 (DFT2022)” in Kyoto and International Symposium on Nuclear Spectroscopy for Extreme Quantum systems 2023" in Numazu.
