项目摘要

スプリット前線を伴う温帯低気圧の構造および環境場の特徴を明らかにするために、長期客観解析データを用いてスプリット前線および温帯低気圧を客観的に抽出し、その統計的特徴を調査している。昨年度は、顕著なスプリット前線を伴う低気圧とそうでない低気圧を比較し、その違いを調べたが、低気圧が発達する緯度の違いを考慮していなかった。そこで、より北で発達する低気圧と南で発達する低気圧それぞれについて、顕著なスプリット前線を伴う低気圧とそうでない低気圧の構造や環境場を比較した。その結果、南で発達する低気圧においては、対流圏上層のトラフがより南下し低気圧に接近する方がスプリット前線の形成に大きく寄与する一方、北で発達する低気圧においては、南からの暖湿気の流入が顕著なスプリット前線の形成に寄与することが明らかとなった。今回得られた結果を、日本気象学会春季大会で発表した。
